A: Game Rules

1. No new players are allowed to join in on “Rummy 2,000,000”. If new players want to join, then they can just GEDDOWWWT!!

2. The participant in First Place shall have first dibs of seating every Rummy session for the duration of his first place run. The holder of the Second Place crown shall be awarded second dibs. The loser in last place gets to sit on the floor.

3. Cards must be dealt in the order of Bill, Ben, and Larry. No exceptions.

4. A session ceases at the end of a full round of play, so every player starts the equal number of hands per session. Plans must be made accordingly as there are no exceptions to this rule to ensure the integrity of the competition. (Ex. Calling “last hand”)

5. Best efforts will be made for Rummy Night to occur once per week.

6. “Rummy 2,000,000” spectators are frowned upon. If a person shall enter the room where the game is being played, all effort will be made to inform the person they are not welcome. (Ex. Silent treatment, ignoring their statements)

7. The game ends when one of the participants passes the 2,000,000 point mark. In the event that two or more participants pass the mark during the same hand, the participant with the greatest total amount of points is declared winner.

B: In-play Rules

1. No pausing in the middle of a hand, except when it is beyond control. (Ex. Delivery man at door)

2. In the event that the Pete’s fella arrives in the middle of a hand, that hand will be paused to greet him and his delicious cargo. However, no eating shall take place until the current hand has been completed. Violators are subject to have their Pete’s order spit on by one or more parties.

3. A card must be discarded for a turn to end, including when every card the player has can be used. He must discard a “Rummy!” card and wait another set of turns until a new card is drawn that can be discarded. No player may pick up from the top of the Rummy Line and then immediately discard it to end the game.

4. When picking up cards from the Rummy Line, the last card must be used in conjunction with at least one other card in that players hand. A run on the board or a “Rummy!” card cannot just be picked up and played by itself.

5. If a card is played that can be counted as part of either a run or match (i.e. the 3 of diamonds being played with the 4-5-6 of diamonds and the other three 3’s already played), the player must designate upon which cards he would like the card to count towards. If no designation is made, the card counts towards the run.

6. When a “Rummy!” card is played on a match, it must be laid sideways to signify the run is cut off.

7. Once a potential discard has been laid on the Rummy Line and ceased its relationship with the participant’s hand, the card cannot be retracted. “A card laid is a card played.”

8. To call a Rummy! Card, a participant must both call “Rummy! Card” and hit the card. The first participant to complete both actions is awarded the card. In the event of a tie, the third player will make a judgment based on sound integrity and strong ethics.

9. If all the cards in the deck have been drawn, each participant will have one more turn. If a player cannot pick up from the Rummy Line, he shall forfeit his turn.

10. If a participant puts down a match during their turn, that participant can retract the match or reorganize the cards through the duration of that one turn (i.e. playing the 8-7-6-5 of spades then taking the 8 back and playing three 8’s).

11. In order to claim a Rummy! card, a player must both call “Rummy!” and touch the Rummy! card. In the event of a tie, the Rummy! Point will be awarded to the player who touched the card first.
